What to visit in Świnoujście? We present the most appreciated attractions.
Stawa Młyny - a symbol of Świnoujście admired by all tourists. It is located at the end of the western breakwater. The pond - a navigational sign - has the shape of a windmill, on top of which there is a pulsating light. It was built in 1877 (although some sources say earlier) during the modernization of the fairway. The pulsating light was initially obscured by the blades of the windmill, and now a mechanical shutter is responsible for the movement. Pond Młyny is 10 m high.
Beach in Świnoujście - Świnoujście beach is the widest beach in Poland, reaching almost 200 meters in width. In addition, it is one of the cleanest beaches on the Polish coast - it has invariably been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag since 2006, which confirms the cleanliness and safety of the bathing area. In contrast to the cliff coasts, here the sea "retreats", giving the area a beach. Over the last 200 years, the coastline has moved about 1.5 kilometers to the north.
